rolls the words around his tongue

imagines a landscape

-- a dream of England

no less beguiling 

than the vision that has

tempted us here,

under the palms

where a New Town estate meets

blue ocean swell and

the forget-me-not fields

of a summer without end

casts us both outside of time:
